We're Karl and Brooke Friend, a couple in our 30's from Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
We have a beautiful daughter, a needy cavoodle and have recently purchased our first home.
Karl works at Friendly Manager, a NZ software company, and Brooke is a local dog trainer.
Our gorgeous daughter was born with multiple heart defects and 22q11 deletion syndrome and it's been a long and complicated journey to get to the point where she is thriving at home now.
With a medically complex toddler and lots of moving parts to our busy lives, we needed a place to organise and manage our life admin in a way that didn't overwhelm or overcomplicate our daily lives.
After extensive research and not finding any apps out there that offered everything we wanted and needed all in one place, Karl set out to use his expertise to design and build one. Brooke is our customer support and communications export and Adelina - she is the chief designer.
We realised that our friends and family members were interested in what we were creating, so we set out to open this app up to others in the hopes that it will support other families the way it has done for us.
An important part of our work is giving back to a charity near and dear to us - Heart Kids New Zealand. We wouldn't be where we are now with our baby girl if it weren't for the generous support of Heart Kids NZ, so that's why for every monthly purchase of our app, $1 of that goes directly to supporting this amazing charity.
